In the last episode, James and Denny met the new kid, Tim Wiseman, who set a blistering fast pace during an 800-meter race in gym class.  They managed to nip Tim in the final ten yards. Then, James and Denny disobeyed the football coach and tried out for the track team.

In today’s episode, James’ and Sally’s Dad finally realizes he is powerless over alcohol and seeks treatment at the Betty Ford Clinic. Then James has the 1600-meter race if his life in the San Joaquin County Conference Championships. Enjoy!
